In the name of God, Amen, I, Catherine Barclay of the Parish of Portsmouth, Norfolk County and State of Virginia being of sound mind, but weak in body and knowing it is appointed for persons to die do make and declare the following to be my last will and testament.
First-I give and bequeath (after the death of my husband) unto Sarah Jane Barclay my daughter the west part of my house and lot on King and Dinwiddie Streets to be divided by a line to run north and south through the middle of the passage beginning on King Street and continueing until it strikes the south boundary of the lot, to her and her heirs forever in fee simple.
Secondly to my daughter, Susan Ballard Barclay after the death of my husband Robert Barclay, I give and bequeath the east part of the house and lot above mentioned agreeable to the boundaries thereof in fee simple forever, Provided that either of the parties should die without issue the other to inherit the whole of the house and lot before mentioned.
And I do hereby appoint my two daughters or either of them above mentioned or either of them executrix.
