The funeral of Malachi C. Mercer, 56 years old, who died yesterday morning at his home, 127 West Eleventh street, will be held at his last residence on Monday at 3 o'clock. The Rev. S. W. Melton will conduct the services. Interment will be made in Elmwood cemetery.
Mr. Mercer leaves two daughters, Alva and Vivian, two brothers, W. Mercer and S. C. Mercer, and two sisters, Mrs. Benjamin Cason and Mrs. Henry Burgess. All are residents of Norfolk except Mrs. Burgess, who lives in Hartford, Conn.
