Lynn's uncle Stewart Mathews was in the army during World War II. He was in Tampa, Florida, and sent this uniform home to his nephew as a Christmas present. Lynn is four. World War II was a few weeks old. My uncle was very attentive to me. (Bob Stewart had just been born.) All through the war he wrote letters to me from Europe where he won the Bronze Star for heroism.
