In the name of God amen, I, John Cherry of the County of Norfolk being sick and weak in body but of sound mind & memory for which I thank God, and calling to mind the uncertainty of humanlife and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with I give and bequeath the same in manner following, that is to say; first I give untomy beloved wife Franky Cherryand my daughter Mary Scott the plantation houses cattle, hogs horse household & kitchenfurniture, and farming utensils during my wife's life and at the decease of my wife, I ordain and order that the whole of my moveable estate be equally divided between my daughters Mary Scott and my son John Cherry except what is given to my grandchildren, hereafter mentioned to them and their heirs
Item: I give unto my daughter Mary Scott one of my houses with a garden and a small piece of ground for a potatoe patch during her lifeor widowhood after my wife's decease
Item: I give unto my granddaughter grand daughter Elizabeth Cherry one heifer at the decease of my wife with her increase afterwards to her and her heirs
Item: I give unto to my granddaugther Franky L. Cherry one heifer for at the decease of my wife with her increase afterwards to her and her heirs.
Item: I give unto to grandson James Cherry one red cow at my decease and her increase to him & his heirs
Item: I lend the plantation whereon I now live upon unto my son Hillary Cherry during his life at the decease of my wife, and at his decease I give the same unto my grandson James Cherry and his heirs lawfully begotten of his body but if he should die without such heirs then in that case the land to fall unto my grand-daughter Franky Cherry and her heirs.
Lastly, I constitute make & ordain my sons Hillary Cherry and John Cherry the sole executors of this my last will and testament and I do hereby utterly revoke & disannaul all and every other former testaments wills legacies & executors by me in any wise before named ratifing & confirming this and no other to be my last will & testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this twenty and eighth day of December one thousand eight hundred & twelve.
