Death of Young Lady--
Mr. E. C. Brooks Sunday night received a telegram from Wilmington, N.C. announcing the sad intelligence of Miss Daisy Manning's death. Miss Manning was Mr. Brook's niece and a very charming young lady, who has often visited in this city. She was a daughter of Mr. E. W. Manning, who was formerly an engineer in the United States navy, but at the beginning of the war entered the Confederate navy. He married Miss Fannie Brooks, of this city, and has resided for many years in Wilmington. Miss Daisy was in the 20th year of her age. It has been less than a year since the death of her sister, Mrs. Harding.
