Portsmouth--Raymond Augustus Foiles, 59, of 97 Aylwin Road, a native of Portsmouth, died Wednesday in a hospital.
Mr. Foiles had retired as a supervisor for the Mosquito Control Division for the city of Portsmouth after 35 years. He was also a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, St. Paul's Council No. 418.
Survivors include an uncle, Melvin F. K. Cassell of Portsmouth.
The graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Portsmouth Catholic Cemetery by Father Paul D. Jenkins. The family will be at Foster Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Memorial donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America.

**although there is a tombstone in Oak Grove Cemetery for Robert Emmett Foiles--I wonder if it is only a memorial and that he is actually buried in France, since he was killed there during the war. Needs further investigation
